On January 4, the State Administration for Market Regulation, together with nine other relevant departments, revised and issued the "Administrative Measures for Green Product Certification and Labelling".

This marks the first time that my country has systematically and comprehensively standardized green product certification activities, signifying a major shift in my country's green product certification and labeling system from single label management to full-chain supervision of certification.
The revised "Management Measures" are based on the principles of "unified product catalog, unified evaluation standards, unified certification rules, and unified product labeling". They focus on the whole-process supervision of green product certification activities, clarify the hierarchical and classified management approach of the system, and clearly define the applicable scenarios for full-item certification and sub-item certification of green products.
Meanwhile, the "Management Measures" make detailed provisions on certification implementation, certificate management, logo use and supervision responsibilities, clarify the main responsibilities of all relevant parties, and provide clear guidance for related work.

To date, the green product certification catalog covers 122 types of products closely related to consumers, including tires, electronic appliances, furniture, building materials, express packaging, and textiles, with nearly 40,000 valid certification certificates and more than 8,000 certified companies.
By using a catalog-based management system, overlaps and duplications in the scope of green certified products across different fields and departments are avoided, which helps to form a consistent technical standard and regulatory framework nationwide.
